Description:Trading manually to catch news event were NOT recommended since you can't handle emotion. To open position on very volatile price market is impossible without involving emotion, not mention to watch the price running like roller coaster, that why you really need EA to handle this situation. Set the EA (better on VPS), do not watching it running on specified news event then check the result later. I created this EA for educational purposes only, its intended not for newbie or non professional traders. Users MUST do some intensive test using "strategy tester" to fit users needs and to confirm that this EA will works for you. Use only demo account or tiny lot and small leverage (on real account) to test this EA, I warn you that this EA will not suit for most of users. During our test this EA works well on strategy tester but need many tweaks to work on real account, so think it over before using in real account, you've been WARNED!!! Forex brokers knows that many traders try to catch big money on news events so they will set their system to take advantage of this, unless you use ECN/NDD or similar account, using this EA on certain news event will work against you because broker may do some tricks to fight against you. This EA will set BUY Stop and SELL Stop (pending order) on next opening candle then will delete one pending order after open BUY or SELL occur (OCO). As usual use this EA as is, there is NO guarantee in any way, good luck

Hi Cuanterus,
I do not see the trailing stop function, when news releases need filters to widening spreads. This is generally a good ea. 04.12.2013 08:35 mastow

as said, price JUMPING, so EA could not catch price you set because price not available, price jump exceeded your pending order price, try to watch chart when news event happend you will know what I meant you may increase slippage but as i tested mostly didn't work (on real account) lately because broker get smarter and price running like jet fighter not roller coaster anymore I was playing around with slippage trying to give more and less but still dint like it. we must be missing out somewhere. I have noticed that this EA doesnt like even a fraction of a moment when the time changes. but its common FX factor that market makes moves when changing times... will try to workout. pls try from your end too. this is a beautiful EA once proved can be enough for making a living lol.... 24.10.2013 11:34 20102013

I loaded this EA and tested on my demo ac, it did worked as i gave server time for execution of trade. But that was the last time. I've noticed a lot of brokers now a days will increase spreads and execution times during news events to make trading them difficult. Anyone know of any brokers that don't do this for certain?

Hi Cuanterus, I tried to compile and received errors. It says that it can not open the 2 files of the zip. Both the mq4 and the 2 files of the zip in the experts folder, then simply compile. Any thoughts? John 27.09.2013 15:11 johnytrader
you must compile it first then become NewsTradingEA.ex4, mq4 is source file (can't run) |
